1 March

Engaging Youth in Community Development

Date: 1 March 2021 (Monday)
Time: 5.00 – 6.00pm

Ms. Kuah Ting Ting will briefly introduce what youth engagement in Community Development entails, and invite her current students to share their insights regarding this topic. This is followed by a Q&A session with prospective students.

2 March

Why do a Minor Degree in Community Development and Leadership?

Date: 2 March 2021 (Tuesday)
Time: 1.00 – 2.00pm

Assoc Prof Chng Huang Hoon will briefly overview the Minor Degree curriculum and make a case for how a Minor degree in community development and leadership will be a strength for NUS graduates.

 

3 March

Stories in Engaging Communities: Sharing Case Studies

Date: 3 March 2021 (Wednesday)
Time: 7.00 – 8.00pm

Dr Satveer Kaur-Gill will share the various examples of practicums conducted by students in the domain of migrant workers, low-income community members, and elderly and technological disparities. The highlight of this session is aimed at sharing practicum experiences and outcomes and its role in Community Development. The practicum is a central component of the CTPCLC program, and this session presents an opportunity for you to ask questions about the various practicum experiences as a CTPCLC fellow.

Passionate about community engagement but don’t know where to begin? Come join us for a chat in zoom!

Date: 4 March 2021 (Thu)
Time: 3.00 – 4.00pm

Assoc Prof Chng Huang Hoon will explain her perspective of community engagement, and answer any questions prospective students may have about pursuing their passion in community work.

We offer a variety of modules that are General Education Modules (GEMs) or Unrestricted Electives (UEs). If you choose to take CTPCLC modules as a UE, you can declare it as a Minor (24 MCs) or a Certificate (8Mcs) in Community Leadership & Development!
