Programme Overview
The TF-NUS LEaRN ASEAN Youth Community Leadership programme is organised by the School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) and held at NUS, University Town, Education Resource Centre on 1 to 11 July 2025. The programme is designed to nurture the next generation of Asian leaders by providing a platform for cultural exchange, community engagement, networking, and leadership development among youth from Southeast Asia.

(Part I) 1 to 3 July 2025, (Part II) 7 to 11 July 2025
Participants Profile
Participants include undergraduate students from universities across Southeast Asia, including Singapore and ASEAN member countries. Approximately 200 students will participate in Part I on 1 to 3 July and 65 students in Part II on 7 to 11 July. 10 Teaching Assistants are required to support the execution of this programme.

With contributions from Assistant Professor Caroline Brassard and Professor Yaacob Ibrahim from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), NUS.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the facilitation of programme activities, workshops, and small group discussions
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student participants, fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment in classrooms and field trips
- Monitor student progress and engagement in developing the video projects (Part II)
- Collaborate with faculty and programme management staff to ensure smooth delivery of all sessions, including providing feedback and evaluation.
- Be role models to the student participants as they continue their own university journeys
Qualifications and Skills
- NUS undergraduates, preferably with experience in education, leadership, and/or community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Passion for youth empowerment, community service, and leadership development.
Estimated Period of Commitment
Part I:
1 July, Tue 2 – 6pm
2 July, Wed 1 – 5pm
3 July, Thu 1 – 5pm
Part II:
7 July, Mon 3 – 11pm
8 July, Tue 3 – 6pm
9 July, Wed 3 – 11pm
10 July, Thu 2 – 8pm
11 July, Fri 2 – 6pm
Stipend
Teaching Assistants will receive a stipend of $30 per hour of engagement.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Selected candidates will be required to attend 2 sessions of pre-programme training on 2 June, Monday 7 to 11pm and another session at end June.

Internship opportunity with The Majurity Trust
