NUS Communities & Engagement (C&E) pillar:

To satisfy the University Level Requirements for General Education, all students are required to read 1 course from each of the 6 pillars under the NUS General Education (GE) curriculum.

Who is required to read the C&E Pillar

This is a graduation requirement for all students from Cohort AY2021/2022 onwards, except students from Faculty of Law, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Information Technology, and Yale-NUS students. The academic programmes in these units already have service-learning as part of their graduation requirements or are recognised for their prior learning.

CTPCLC offers 5 courses under the Communities & Engagement (C&E) pillar: CLC1101, CLC2204, CLC3303, CLC3304A and CLC3307. These allow students to simultaneously work towards a Minor Degree in Community Development and Leadership and fulfil the C&E pillar.

Minor Degree in Community Development and Leadership + Fulfil C&E pillar

Enhance your learning experience by incorporating a few additional courses to your study plan! This not only fulfills your graduation criteria, but also provides you with the opportunity to earn a Certificate or Minor Degree in Community Development and Leadership. Here's a simple example of how you can accomplish this:
