CTPCLC was one of the most formative experiences of my university life. Prof Chng, Prof Lim and Dr Tan taught generously from their experience in the community development space and also shared generously from their rich real-life experiences in linguistics, sociology, and business. More than their knowledge, however, these instructors stood out due to their passion both for the students and for the work itself. They made their students feel seen and heard and helped guide our passions with their real-world experience, demonstrating that community development and changemaking are worthy endeavors and worthwhile commitments.

The skills learned at CTPCLC – whether in ethnographic research, social impactor, or community development practice – are key to both my formal and informal work in policymaking and executive volunteering. From my view, CTPCLC was the programme (or department) with the largest personal impact on my university days and stands as an absolute asset to anyone interested in social impact and changemaking.

Do good, better!
