My research with CTPCLC taught me to quantify intangible benefits of a pharmacy programme for low-income older persons. Doing so helped the programme to justify its use, and enabled it to secure more funding. CTPCLC also taught me to consider community programmes from the perspective of the beneficiaries, which was useful in community programmes I organised while at university. Today, I bring along this unique form of empathy in my daily work as a pharmacist, and also in community projects I work on.
