Join us at our CTPCLC Annual Symposium, where changemakers, community and thought leaders will engage on one platform to share their views on community issues. The theme for this year is 'Challenges of an Ageing Population in Singapore'. The programme will comprise of student presentations, poster display, live demos and a panel discussion.

The CTPCLC Symposium is held annually to showcase our student fellows’ community development efforts with our partnering social service organisations. This year, we are honoured to have Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Communications & Information, and Ministry of National Development, & Adviser to East Coast GRC Grassroots Organisations, to grace our event.

AI & Technology to Engage Seniors

Willoughby Niki Lee (FoE, 2022), co-founder of VolunteerSG Heartbeats will showcase 2 digital activities focused on seniors’ wellbeing - 'BoomBox’: AI-based gamified activities to engage seniors, and 'TinkerBot’: Tactile remote-controlled car game for seniors to navigate obstacle courses.

Step into the shoes of seniors (Ageing Simulation)

Sim Rou Chen (FASS, 2022), Chief Operations Officer of WeHiro will showcase equipment used for their flagship Ageing Simulation Programme, allowing individuals to experience, the physical (and thereafter, social and emotional) challenges that seniors might face in their day-to-day lives.
