Our Fellow Reflections
Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Communications & New Media
I am thankful for the opportunities that being in NUS and being in CTPCLC has brought me. I got to learn some frameworks and theories in approaching community-based work.
It’s been a privilege to be able to work with partners like MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT) on the Community Hospitals of the Future project during practicum and also, get to meet other peers who are doing inspiring work in their respective communities.
To aspiring changemakers, I find that it is always helpful to realise how there is a world beyond yourself and start with issues and/or approaches you like. For me, I stepped into the world of social issues and community-based works through the arts and I’m not sure if I would have if I had chosen differently. One step at a time, you’ll find your way.
