Our Fellow Reflections
School of Business, BBA
I feel immensely grateful to NUS and CTPCLC for granting me the opportunity to explore and learn freely. My exposure to the social aspects of society has broadened my perspective in profound ways, revealing a world quite distinct from my Business Major. Through the Minor, I learned that social issues are often complex and multifaceted, and they require a more nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by various communities to develop effective solutions. There is often no one-size-fits-all approach to these challenges.
My involvement with external organizations such as the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations (SCWO) and Lutheran Community Care Services (LCCS) during my CTPCLC practicum has deepened my sensitivity and awareness of social issues. Working on various projects in the Minor has not only enhanced my understanding but also sharpened my ability to critique social initiatives, aiming for greater sustainability and effectiveness. Overall, my journey with CTPCLC has been transformative, inspiring me to drive meaningful change and approach challenges with a renewed sense of purpose and empathy.
