NUS launches the Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Centre
On 20 November 2017 The National University of Singapore (NUS) officially launched the Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Centre (CTPCLC) in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Mr Teo Chee Hean, Mr Chua Thian Poh, Mr Hsieh Fu Hua and NUS Provost.
Mr Chua Thian Poh, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ho Bee Land Limited, presented NUS with a gift of S$5 million to scale up the Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Programme to benefit more NUS students and social service organisations.With the expansion of the programme, more youths will have the opportunity to develop their interest and passion to serve, exchange experiences, acquire new skills and contribute to community development. This will help develop a strong pipeline of community leaders who can help build a caring and inclusive society.
