From students to changemakers: 15 years of nurturing community leaders at CTPCLC

For 15 years, CTPCLC has taken NUS students beyond the classroom and into communities, where learning happens through listening, collaboration and action. From applied community research to the journeys of alumni who continue to make a difference in their work and communities, the Centre has nurtured a generation of changemakers who see communities not simply as recipients of help, but as partners and active agents of change. As CTPCLC looks ahead, its mission remains clear: to inspire more students to become thoughtful, people-centred leaders who build stronger communities together.

This story is part two of a two-part series about the Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Centre at NUS, as it celebrates the 15th anniversary of its programme this year. Read part one, “From knowing to doing: NUS academics and students drive impact through community research”, here.
