Relationship with employers main reason for FDWs not completing contracts
CTPCLC fellows partnered with Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE) as part of their Community Development Practicum to conduct social research on the relationship between foreign domestic workers and their employees. The study revealed that two-thirds of maids had multiple employers within a two-year time-frame. The reasons include bad relationships with employers, language barriers, lack of welfare and mismatch of skills.
